A total of 20 participants from BPS-Statistics of Buton Utara Regency participated in Training of Village Potential Data Collection Officers (Podes) 2018 held by BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Tenggara Province at D'blitz Kendari Hotel, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Training activities were opened by the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Tenggara Province, represented by Head of Sosial Sector BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Tenggara Province, Dani Jaelani S.Si, M.T. The training lasts for 5 days from 17 - 21 April 2018. BPS-Statistics of Buton Utara Regency sends 20 people as a participant consisting of 8 organic employees and 12 partners.

Data Collection of Village Potential is one of the activities of BPS that aims to provide data about the existence and development of potential owned by the village / urban village covering: social, economic, facilities and infrastructure area. In addition, the results of this reckoning will also be used for updating the classification / typology of the village, for example whether included in the urban-rural, coastal-non-coastal, and so forth. It can also be used in the calculation of development indicators / village progress.

Podes 2018 is implemented in all administrative areas of the village level covering villages, urban village, nagari, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) that are still fostered by related ministries throughout Indonesia. Podes 2018 also covers all sub-districts, districts / cities throughout Indonesia.

It is expected that the officers who are currently attending the training can really follow well so that the concept and definition can be understood maximally, to carry out the enumeration in the field later.
