Buranga - The North Buton Regency Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) held a Training on Mapping and Updating Content of Statistics Work Areas (Wilkerstat) as a preliminary step in preparing the Population Census in 2020 at Mulia Hotel, Kulisusu, Wednesday (3/4/2019).
Preparations for the population census have been carried out since 2018, such as updating village master files.
The Head of BPS of North Buton Regency, Burhanuddin, when receiving this training, stated that the number of participants who would become officers was 38 people from the local community. "We prioritize candidates for mapping and updating the statistical work area intended for villagers, asking for the place of detail to be visited," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Processing Integration and Statistical Dissemination Section, A. Ranuwirawan Rahim explained, the final results of the mapping and updating activities contained the data in the year 2019, namely the making of manual and digital maps that contained maps of Districts, Districts, Villages to RTs. In addition, there is also an infrastructure map capable of describing infrastructure in North Buton District. "
Ranu explained, in Mapping activities, BPS uses the Wilkerstat application on Smartphones which is directly integrated with satellite imagery and google maps so that the area is more complicated and accurate.
The results of this mapping, he continued, will be used as material to study the working area of the population census officers in 2020. In implementing the 2020 population census, BPS uses a combination method, which is a combination of Population Administration System registration data related to the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Internal Affairs and data. in the field.
After the training, it will then continue on the field installation and end with the processing and digitizing in July 2019.
