On July 25, 2024, in North Buton, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Buton Regency carried out routine SAKERNAS activities, namely the National Labor Force Survey. This activity began with the Census Block updating activity on July 25 - August 6, 2024.
After updating the census block, it was continued with field data collection on selected samples in each selected census block, starting on August 8 - 25, 2024.
In this SAKERNAS data collection, PML ensured that the data collection procedure ran smoothly, while PCL was directly involved in collecting data in the field. The PML and PCL teams went to the field to conduct direct surveys in residents' homes. SAKERNAS data collection includes information on the number of family members, employment status, education, and other aspects that are important for development planning and employment policies.
The community responded positively to the presence of the PML and PCL teams of BPS North Buton Regency, enthusiastically providing the necessary information. Active citizen involvement is the key to success in collecting valid and relevant data.
The results of the SAKERNAS data collection are expected to provide a better understanding of the reality of the workforce and become the basis for more appropriate policies to support sustainable development.
